Siew Funs Song graduated from the University of Tasmania with a Bachelor of Laws in 2001.

Between 2002 and 2007, Siew Funs worked primarily as a corporate and commercial lawyer in Malaysia and was involved in some very large commercial projects and transactions in particular when she was a Senior Associate at Messrs Zaid Ibrahim & Co, the largest law firm in Malaysia.

Siew Funs’ exposure to some of these large corporate projects in Malaysia has placed her well to assist clients in Australia in the implementation and completion of their commercial transactions.

Siew Funs was admitted as a lawyer in Sydney, New South Wales, in 2008.  Prior to being a member of the Aequitas VTS Lawyers legal team, she worked at VTS Lawyers where she was involved in a wide-range of commercial matters including China-related commercial projects.

In addition to commercial law, Siew Funs also practises within our commercial, retail and residential property sales and acquisitions division.

Siew Funs speaks and writes fluent Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese) and Malay and is able to assist overseas-based clients with their investments into Australia, and Australian clients in their investments into China, including Taiwan and Hong Kong, and the South East Asian region.
